I'm worried about this woman I know, she's been losing a bit of weight (I think she wanted to for some reason) but the thing is she has ample bosoms and I'm worried they might shrink or otherwise not be so fullsome? can anyone offer any advice? also I enjoy a large bottom for slapping/grabbing activites..will this be affected? :(

Oh I forgot, after spending out on the 406 I noticed the Astra's coolant temp is all over the shop...>fast forward< .....approx £100.00, booked in for Wednesday :|

You might say "why don't you get yor hands dirty Welly?" but, to be honest, the thought of draining, flushing, fitting new thermostast-housing-sensor, venting (where do you vent an Astra?) fills me with "meh" so off it goes to my man who does a good job and has the flushing agents and conditioners etc and a 5-year thing on the new coolant. By the time I've bought the thermostat assy £45.00 (err, hello Vauxhall) and the coolant (£20.00) he would have done it all for me.

Winter's here and an overfuelling, CAT knackering, cold running Astra is not good!

Didn't stop you declaring war on the sunblind. - Is it just the oily bits you don't like :?:

(I'd be thinking prove it's the sensor, if so swap it cold with rad cap on, replace cupfull of fluid, sorted. )

It's defo the thermostat as I can feel the rad pipes are just "warm" even after a bit of running about, 6 miles etc.

When stationary the temp rises to 85 then as soon as you get moving it drops down to cool again.

Work wise I don't have the best collection of mechanics tools you've ever seen and my lower back kills me when messing about under bonnets :frown: I don't mind oil changes too much but still would rather not these days.

I see what you mean.

Returning to the original thread....

1. Deteriorating eyesight - looking for glasses while wearing them, 2 pairs to read circuit diagrams, etc. - don't laugh it'll be your turn soon..... :frown:

2. Haven't found a practical, legal, responsible way of fitting HID's

3. Re-fitting undertray to a leaky HDi

Just do as us D8 owners do (don't laugh, it's not going to be long before D9ers get no choice in the matter either!) and don't bother with the screws/nuts. Some zip ties will hold it on fine and are quick to get on/off :)

EDIT: oooh 3000 posts! 8)

Already tried to trace where he got the bits from etc....

Well after 10 years of British weather the screws on D8s have rusted and crumbled, or even worse the captive nuts have become loose from the body necessitating the use of zip ties once they're cut off

The screws holding the wheelarch liners on are another nasty rust trap. Always worth buying new ones before attempting work down there.
