They eat carp here, it tastes ok but it's got a very squishy texture.

A tiny turkey.

Turkey. It's the one day a year when we actually do a proper cooked dinner, so we'll be having all the trimmings! 8)

i always treat myself to a massive greasy BEST (bacon egg sausage tomato) sarnie with 3/4in+ slices of bread for breakfast on xmas day. Other than that, nothing special if I (quite likely) decide the risk of a spring going on the M6 is too great, especially as I expect to have to swerve and slam the brakes on a few times during the 60 mile round trip to the parents. F**king drink drivers and no coppers on the road because they''re more expensive than GATSOs...

So yeah my xmas dinner's probably a cheese sarnie again

I saw a Turkey in Sainsbury's yesterday for £58.00

It was a 'bronze' Organic jobbie that serves 6, wasn't what you'd call a big'un. The price of Turkey has gone way gobble-gobble up this year

I (sorry, 'we') opted for a Turkey Crown + pigs in blankets all the usual old rubbish.

One thing we (sorry 'I') am doing this year is cooking the Roasties the day before as these are a right f*cker to time properly sometimes so all I'll have to do is re-heat them cos Jamie Oliver said so :) might do some Jamie roast veg's too!

We're doing the usaul turkey thing, but Mrs Doggy insisits on a gigantic pork joint as well. A few years back we had 13 - 16 people to cater for, now it's usually 7 or 8, but I can't get her to cut down the quantities.
The turkey's 9. summat kg. Had to stash it in my brother's freezer as none of our shelves are big enough.
This year, my genius of a son insisted we have roast beef for Boxing day, to make a change, so now we've got the biggest beef roast you ever did see helping to make the fridge groan

The dogs are nudging each other, winking, rubbing their paws in anticipation.....

The worst of it is we're all about 5 foot not much & less than 10 stone, (at least so far) :!:

Ours are similarly resourceful, but they now have the Missus trained to get them a coctail sossidge out the fridge whenever they bark / scratch the door for 5 mins....

We haven't got the joys of any pets yet because our youngest has lots of allergies :(
Hopefully when he's older he'll grow out of them! We started him on cows milk and wheat recently and he's had no reactions so fingers crossed! :D

We're dog-sitting over christmas and I got to meet and greet said dog on saturday........

Looked like this but *much* bigger/muscle'ier like a black Lab' size with curly hair and a big f*ck-off face :?

Image

My daughter offered him a small furry toy, we he took, then ripped the eyes off and spat them out, then started ripping the living daylights out of it :? later he thought he'd have a look inside a closed cardboard box, I say look, it was more a case of 'I'll rip the f*ck out of this box untill I find something to bite on'

His name's Paddy, he's 3 years old and likes a *lot* of play

Interesting Welly xmas........ :|

Do dog's drink Stella?

I'm not sure what he eats yet - but whatever it is it'll be a lot of it :o

I bought one of those deep water bowls and asked him if he'd like a 'likkle drinkie' and he snaffled the lot

Oh and the owner told me Paddy like's to 'wee' a lot (especially when excited)

Nah - we borrow dogs and them give them back

How do you explain to a 10 year old what those huge cobblers are dangling down at the back?

Oh sh*t I've just realised he's a 'live' dog too

That's where his batteries go?

You'd better put on some especially grippy shoes if you take him for a walk :cheesy:
