Oh great, just what I needed. My ankle's so swollen I can hardly get my boots on and now my back's joined in... We've cleared a path from the shed to the road here so I can get the car out and after lunch I'll be doing it all again at my house. I wish I was a dog.

I gritted my road with some b&q winter grit/salt and it worked a treat (private road on a hill) can't you get some grit for the path/drive?

Nope, just coarse grain salt for curing meat from the supermarket. I already used that on the path.

I was actually going to ask what camera it is?

I'm having trouble with my Olmpus 7.1 Mpixel (see my avatar) and generally really poor quality photo's and my Bro in-law said it was because the memory card as only 512mb and it can't cope with the detail of the camera? I've got a 2GB card on it's way.

I normally take the pics in 640 x 480 guise so I can bang them straight on here but realise it's not the best quality - having said that my old Cannon 3MP camera was really clear in this mode

PS. I want to get your dogs and give them a good old roughing up (in a nice way) they look great

Good idea! Many years ago I winched the brother's (undamaged) car out of a snow filled ditch only to run out of pull just as the back wheels got onto the road.
Being a plumber, he gets blowlamp out of boot, melts snow round back wheels & reversed it out the rest of the way

This is actually a pedigree English Spaniel who belongs to my sis-in-law, he even has a little book with about 5 generations of ancestors, all with silly names. His is "Lord (something or other) Sportsman" but he's known as Dori.

That sounds an interesting cross, got any pics? Weirdest cross I've seen was German Shepherd/OE sheepdog, had ears like shag pile carpet

This gorgeous hound is actually a golden retriever cross old english sheepdog. I think he's stunning.
Incidentally, the black hound is a whippet cross greyhound
