Fuel at almost 19 shillings a litre, that's 86/3d a gallon! Rediculous!
When I passed my test it was 36p a gallon - filled my Viva up & got change from £2
27 of us there was, living int shoe box at bottom of t' cesspit......
we had to get up 2 hours before we went to bed, work 27 hours a day & pay mill owner to let us work there....
