Do you like this car colour?

Post by Welly »

Is this colour a bit gay for a car, for a man, or not?

It's a nice colour as it is (dawn blue) but is it not 'Male' enough? (this particular example happens to be an S40 T5).

(asking or a friend  )

Looks alright to me, it wouldn't stay that colour for long after a couple of days on the salty roads!

Doggy yours is more 'silvery' than this one which is a very distinct blue but a sort of fashionable blue (the sort of colour a Woman would by the car for alone).

I was only kidding, Welly. :)

Colour doesn't look too bad to me, I hate white, dislike black and all the rediculous purples and oranges you get on unpleasant, fashionable small cars. Other that I'm not too bothered.
Guessing, the colour is specific to Volvos if you, I mean if your friend wants one, Bournemouth or Eastbourne's probably the place to look....

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

I agree - it looks Ok now, but in a few years? Not so sure. The ST might grow old gracefully as it's fairly special and we make allowances, but purple Nissan Notes or a lime green Aygo - *shudder*

Fixed, for accuracy :supafrisk:

On the subject of Focus STs my friend looked up about them on the ST forum and they are a massive target for aggrevated theft at the moment  since Nov 2008 there were 4 cars on the forum which had been stolen by forcibly taking the keys from the house at night  one car was blatently stalked over xmas and the owner was terrified and tried all sorts (even chaining the thing down to his drive)

Apparently though the Volvo S40 T5 has all of the same chassis and running gear as the ST but none of the drama's or attention like this
