Re: Show us your snow
This is where I park opposite my work place in a residential street:

Note, if you will, the addition of the spare wheel to the N/S/F wheel
I split the side wall on my brand-f*cking-new NCT5' yesterday on a broken bottle in the curb covered in snow
This spare tyre has the added bonus of resembling Tele Sevalas' head - great in the snow eh?

It's quite spooky, there's no traffic noise whatsoever outside, even the drone from the M25 is quiet!

Re: Show us your snow
Ugh, I hate snow. We got about 3" last night, I've hurt my back again (picking a bluddy cat up!) so I was a bit worried when it started.
It's like natural sound deadening. Either that or they closed the M25...

There's nooooo business like snoooow business...
Gentlemen, I present my new invention: the carsicle

This is Starbuck, who had way too much fun out on the common this morning

And on the way home we spotted this lil' 205 (I think) in the pub car park. Not the impromptu roof accessory

Re: Show us your snow
I pulled about an inch of white dust (couldn't really call it snow) off my car this morning, then proceeded to take a corner too fast (1st gear idle) and went sliding into a kerb sidewards crunching both O/S wheels at the same time
At least it started first time perfectly...
Then I got to the Tescos garage by me, got back to the car and it took about a minute of cranking to start whereby it sounded like it was firing on 3 cylinders for a minute or two, throughout the rev range (which was all over the place - 500rpm to about 3000rpm at idle)
I then decided to cain the sh*t out of it for the rest of the run to work as punishment
Why doesn't it like warm starts on cold days?

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Re: Show us your snow
Hey, just taken the 406 for a spin with mate and his rover vitesse mk1 down at the forest road. tested out what kind of moves we could accomplish in our cars and got a few donuts in there ;). Anyway few pics of forest and car in the snow.
