MFD - Misunderstood French Display?

Post by Doggy »

My daughter gave me a hand to take the darling doggies on their out of town walkies this evening, in the rain. :frown:
Starts up the pug, there's a gentle chime and the 'AUTOMATIC WIPING ACTIVE' message....

She thinks for a moment, then says, "You wouldn't want to read that when you're in the loo, would you?"

Hope mjb's having better wevver in, 'die grüne Hölle'.....
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

'WIPING' is a weird description I suppose. I hope you hauled her over the coals for engaging in toilet humour in the car

When you say 'chime' mine used to 'beep' - did they change it then?

And yes the weather is particularly shitty. Did you see that the Met Ofiice has revised it's long term forecast from the original idea that we'd be having a nice long, warm, summer
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work

She's 29
And bigger than me.
Besides, I was having enough trouble missing the parked cars....

In most of the autobahn services, you pay €0,50 for access to the bogs (and get a €0,50 voucher for use in the shop/cafe/etc) and you'll find the loos nice and clean because they clean themselves! You wave your hand over a panel to flush them, and while the usual flushing thing happens something comes and wraps itself around the seat, then the whole seat spins 360 degrees while it's cleaned! Genius!

Thanks for the thought... I have a nice tan and a huge pile of clothes that wreak of sweat 8) It was lovely in Calais on the way home, even at 1am when we boarded the ferry, then as we were about half way across the channel it started raining and it appears to have been raining since
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
