Welly's car cleaning collection expands...

Post by Welly »

Warning, if you get bored easily or have better things to do - look away now.

New bucket (20 litros), with lid and 'grit guard'...... Note to self: don't fill to brim and attempt to carry to car

Image
The idea is that you slosh-in 10 ltrs of your water/shampoo and rub the wash mit over the guard occasionally when you 'dunk' and any heavy particles drop the the bottom and stay under the guard to save you rubbing grit over your car

Image
Me shampoo (nice smell)..
Image

Onto the wheels, some Bilberry non-acid cleaner (nice smell), mixes at 1:5 ratio with water
Image

And a foaming spray gun for it..
Image

And an EZ brush (designed in USA for motorcycles etc) these are the nads of the brush world (apparently)
Image

Has it been snowing again?..
Image

Whilst the snow foam drips away, foam up the wheels one at a time with the Bilberry..
Image

Work the brush through, and rinse off with water
Image

Wash the car as normal, it's nice not to have to do the wheels at the end.

Remember the grit guard? well look at all the stuff it caught......
Image

Only kidding, but it did catch this stuff which seemed to be flies and that..
Image

Anyone heard of this Sonax screen wash? It's brilliant! mix 50ml into 5ltrs of water....
Image
Use an old screenwash bottle
Image
The Sonax cost me £4.89 + 3.75 postage from Auto Best Buy Ltd and it's great stuff. It doesn't even leave a 'Snail Trail' down your side windows/roof like the usual stuff. Well recommended.

The clean 'rimz'

Thank you for looking.

I did wonder about the brush because it's designed to bend away at the handle to stop you damaging stuff and I wondered how many times I'd get away with bending it back again :|
