The cat's eaten it.

Post by steve_earwig »

I had some good news yesterday, I went for a blood test again and my blood chemistry is now perfect - no more sky high triglycerides, no more catastrophic cholesterol. Looks like 3.5 years of "healthy" (i.e. boring) eating has paid off. Finally I don't have to eat this low fat, no taste soap masquerading as cheese!! So, off I went to the local supermarket and headed straight for the cheese counter. Mmm, some brie perhaps, or some dolcelatta, maybe even some camembert (slobber drool  )...

...then I remembered, emental is the strongest cheese they do and it's just fecking soap. They got high fat soap, low fat soap, smoked soap, dried expensive soap, soft soap, goat soap, Austrian soap, Italian soap, domestic soap, soap with nuts in (why ffs??), soap with holes in, soap covered in wax... NOOOOO! Someone wake me from this horrible nightmare!!!

I may as well go back to the clinic and tell them to take all my blood

I know exactly where you are coming from, I have my second checkup since my heart surgery on wednesday, had a fasting blood test a couple of weeks ago, they will give me the results wednesday.

I'm banned from cheese as well, except Edam, apparently it has less fat than most.

Well done for getting your blood stuff under control :D

You've missed the point - I can eat that now!!!!!!!!!! Well, not every day of course, and not things I can't get here - like the bacon, the beans, the hash browns and certainly not the sausages with less than 50% meat in them...

Thanks Jasper, the trick now will be keeping them that way. Oooh, I had an ice cream yesterday :cheesy:

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
