Hi & welcome 8)

Tyre pressures should be on a sticker on the door pillar you can see if the door's open, near the end of the dash. (Assuming it had these from new). Failing that, one of the coupe owners should be able to tell you...

p.s . PLEASE DON'T SHOUT!
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Oddly, the handbooks don't say  I think some of the later 406s did have 16" wheels, I think Puggy has one for a start.

I did come across this, which might be useful (unless you live in the UK and the roads only dry out in August....)

OT: I also spotted this on a 4x4 forum:
In a Landrover the other vehicle is your crumple zone.

Assuming you have the same spec of tyre as is shown on the door post sticker, then that pressure is what is recommended. When inflated to that pressure, you may notice a fair difference to your fuel economy as well.

Mine are something like 2.4 bar for 15" so it's not too much different.

Very old thread, but....

My latest acquired 406 is an "S" estate with 205/55x16. The door pillar sticker states 2.5 bar F and R (36 psi)

The 16" tyres do not have as good a ride as the 15". Better with three people in the rear seat!

For "fully laden" rears can go up to 3.2 bar (46 psi). It feels extremely "wooden" at the back with these.

Just about to put my 15" winter wheels back on so will be reminded of the 15" ride quality!
