Hi all,
After many hours of repair in a rain soaked driveway the Funbus is finally having to go through no fault of her own!
I'm changing jobs and the new job has a vehicle as one of it's many rewards.
I'll be selling the car mid September but thought I'd put a wee note on here in case another 406 OC owner wants to get in first.
The old beast is a white 98 2.1 estate with 185k on the clock and a dent on every panel.
She's given me three years of (mainly) reliable service and I'm now gutted to actually be parting company with it.
While I've had the car it's had whatever it's needed doing done and aside from the usual Pug anomalies has been a great car to own.
Everything works and aside from V6 alloys and a metal air filter (fitted to stop it drowning on our roads) the car is as standard.
The only major downer is a big dent in the quarter at the fuel filler done by the previous owner.
I never bothered fixing it as I wasn't going to keep the car long (or so I thought).
The car was taxed for 6 months at the beginning of this month and she passed her last MOT after having new discs and pads on the rear and the handbrake adjusted, neither of which I wasn't expecting.
The emissions are great for the mileage too.
I can supply pics if required via e-mail.
£400 will get you a huge, cheap and economical runaround.
Cheers
Steve

I like the honesty! Shame you're getting rid of it - I regret getting rid of my Green Thing 2 years ago. Was a good car with a good engine.stevenlizuk wrote:The old beast is a white 98 2.1 estate with 185k on the clock and a dent on every panel.

You could collect it and drive it back to Croatia Steve.
Another 1500 miles wont do it any harm
I'll miss it when it's gone as we've had some proper "Boy's Own" camping trips over the last few years.
Remove the rear bench and fold down the seat backs and she's big enough to sleep in the boot.
Never mind.
Sadly it does mean I'll only be visiting the forum in an idle curiousity mode from then on.
As it happens the car has been faultless this year
