early d9 hdi 110 breaking

does the button move much ? this seems very stiff ? almost doesnt actually move at all ?

it should be stiff when in there, but the centre of it lifts out, releasing the button, then it can be pulled out

Is this in refernce to the stalk? My button at the minute feels like it shouldnt move. Am I doing something wrong?

no fogs in it sorry, i will try and get a pic of stalk but im up to my neck in zafira issues at the mo and its going for scrap asap.
