H1 Fog Bulbs

Post by Gary406 »

i have 4 spare H1 fog light bulbs,

2 standard halogen
2 blue coated xenon look (not brilliant ones but perfect for the job)

i say not brilliant what i mean is the blue coating on the bulb is only a thin coat

my new bulbe have a double coat making them more white.

there free to any1 that needs them as spares ...

iwill most probs add fog lights but at the moment im starting sorting out the niggly bits and its well overdue service,
by the time im finished itl be another £400 ive thrown into it, so fog lights are at the bottom of the list,

Oh I agree with that

£15 rear spoiler
£350 respray front end, spoiler and colour code strips
£15 on clear side repeaters
2 new rear hubs £170 fitted
2 new front springs fitted £150
new new front droplinks £25
Leather £130
Electric seat ecu wiring kit + ecu tray £60
Aluminium dash rings £28
Powerflow exhaust £100
Fitting of above with decat and making downpipe £60
Ebony ashtray and dash trims £36
Ebony door trims £35
Strut brace £15

oh dear, this is getting ridiculous :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: that's a whisker short of £1200 and I haven't listed everything
I have D9 air vents, a D9 handbrake button in the post, the painted door handles, the painted dash parts, new indicator stalk, new radio stalk, new trip computer/wiper stalk, coupe leather steering wheel, Liquid leather scuffmaster, conditioner, and cleaner for steering wheel and seats blah blah blah

I reckon £1500 easy, and yet when I put my car into a price comparison site for car insurance, I had a value come back for my car of £455  :( :(

its worth a hell of a lot more than that price tho.

my value is silly like that but i know for a fact it would fetch a lot more.
these 406 diesels seems to have gone up over past 2 years rather than drop
i paid £650 for my 406 2 years ago. still would get more than that today :cheesy:

they may not have gone up substantial amounts but ey. its better than going down

Blumin eck dave i thought my list was bad.
your list makes mine look like ive spent nothing on mine

Plus when you think I got the Powerflow for £100, when £150 is more like it, and my mate custom building a downpipe to the system which for £60 was a steal when you think about it
Aye, think I better sit on this one for a bit longer

Keep thinking of getting rid, and updating, but when you have a car you like, and it doesn't let you down, and you could end up buying a dog with loads of issues, then the old adage of "better the devil you know" definately rings true
