406 2003 Steering coupling
I am after a steering coupling/uj for a 2003 406 2.0 HDI. Mine has a tight spot on it that comes and goes with WD40. The Main Stealer wants over £100 + vat. I have tried all the factors, but no luck. Is anyone out there breaking one, without starship mileage?

'scuse my ignorance but I'm thinking something like a propshaft UJ, is it part 2 here?
Possibly, Service Box says 130 quid for it
Fortunately it's the same part on all RHD 406s from build 07630 - 30th September 1997.

Hi Steve, yes it is No. 2. I have got to fit a rack, there is a slight leak on the top from a union, I have tightened it a couple of times but it still drips. If i tighten it anymore i feel I will strip a thread or crack the rack, then I have to do it quickly. The steering uj has a tight spot but does free up, so I am going to do them both together, it makes sense. The Main Stealer wants £109 + the chancellors slug. I can probably haggle and get it on a stock order and get 20% ish off.
