406 D9 LX & 2.0 8v turbo free

Post by acqu135c3 »

Hi all,

It's been a couple of years since I've had a 406 (running anyway). A while back I had an accident in my sri and decided to try and put the engine in a D9 shell.

Anyway I lost interest in the idea and the shell and engine have been sat on my mums driveway for about 2 years. Well she has now got sick of seeing it and it needs to go. It will need trailoring as obviously it doesn't run nor is it taxed or MOT'd. The engine was an excellent runner in my 406 before it was removed and pulled nice and strong. It had 103K on the clock but unfortunately betweek then and now it's not been run. The turbo still spins nice and freely and has no play in it. The gearbox was also very good and was smooth and had no crunches. The engine is in the bay but only connected by the top 2 engine mounts.

The shell is china blue and has 118K on the clock but is a little worse for wear.

I won't be splitting as it really has to go soon. I have already rang my local peugeot breaker who have offered my a small sum of cash for it but I've been waiting for a call back from them for over a week. If they do eventually get back in touch then it will probably be going with them. The car was my mums and is still registered in her name and would have to be transferred upon collection.

Free to anyone who might have a use for it and the means to collect. I'm in the Eastwood Area of nottinghamshire.

PM Sent, Hopefully I've done that right cause it appears in the "outbox"...

Definately best to come have a look. If i'd have thought someone would want to finish it off I would've kept all the spares I had accumulated.

Cheers,
Andy.
