Breaking my 1998 2.1TD Estate, anyone need any bits?

Post by ed209 »

Hi all, my trusty 406 is no more, and I am breaking her before weighing in whats left!

She is on FleaBay, item number 270919885869.

Nice cream leather interior too.

All proceeds of her dismemberment will be going to...........another D8 :)

Anyone interested folks can get hold of mew here, or through the FleaBay message portal.
I call her Starbug 1, because she's green with intergalactic milage!! I do love my D8 diesel.

I assume it's got a leather steering wheel since it has the leather interior. What condition is it in, and how much are you after for it (with airbag)?

If it were a saloon (and you were closer to me) I'd be interested in the interior...

(Also I appreciate the Red Dwarf reference in your sig :D)

That was quick lol, yes it has a leather wheel, the car has done 150K so its had some use. It's not too worn, and there is no frayed stitching etc. £15 plus postge (not sure what that would be atm) and you could have the airbag for free, so long as it doesn't take my face off when removing the wheel lol :P

Right I'll have that off you mate (with airbag), please! £15 plus slowest/cheapest postage is great. Can you send me a PM with payment details? I can do bank transfer, Paypal gift, whatever suits you really :)

My 2.1 is on 211k, still going strong!

Is this bit the seal for the top of the door?

Na, its behind where to rear doors close, directly above the windows in the boot, dont seal anything as such, just fills a gap! About 30-40cm long, has a T piece at end, boot lid end. Hope that helps!

I can't picture this at the moment :? , Is it outside or inside the car? I would say yes I have it, but I wouldn't be able to say for sure until Monday as working all weekend.
Sorry I can't be of more help at this moment, its been a long day lol!

Is outside of the car, if you follow the roof by the roof bars at the back its a black piece of trim that is pushed into the roof. No rush mate, if you cant find it ill send a pic over. Cheers ian
