2 button key need more info
Since I brought my new d8 the fob has never worked ive tryed reprogramming with the info lozz gave me still no joy so I'm taking as it screwed so does any one have one lyin around or no the best place to get one from ??? The other concern is the car had a key pad witch has been disconected by trying to reprograme another key will it set the immobiliser off or will I be ok coz I don't have the code for the car

Does the key you have light up when you press either button?
I was planning on getting a new blade for the key from my old car so I have a spare plip key, but you do find them in scrappers occasionally, they fit in your pocket so they're free.
The D8 immobiliser is turned off by unplugging the keypad while the engine is running so shouldn't be an issue as it doesn't involve BSI shennanigans.

yh the light comes on every time i press the button if i hold the button down it comes on then goes off it wont stay on y u got u finger on button not sure if its meant to do that ??? i have been looking in the scrappies but they all seem to take them out

They Rekon if you press the button on the key whilst looking through the screen on a digital camera
you can see the signal,
its mentioned on alot of forums, so theyre must be some good in it,
as if thats true idont know as ihavnt tried it personaly,
if a remote key dont work for me ijust open it up and look for dry joints

We'll when i got the key the button was missing not the rubber bit the metal bit underneath so I took it off my old key so I think the key is shagged

The digital camera method will only work for the IR type keys, not the RF ones.

Right puttin the camera trick
To the side I got another key yesterday that worked so i done as lozz explained and still nothing is there a sensor in the car that could be gone or something I should be lookin at ?
