the 2.1 is becoming a rare animal, any particular reason not to go the HDI route? Same power but newer, better on fuel and possibly cheaper to tax/insure depending on year.
Only reason I went for a 1.9 again was the veg and it was £600 with 84,000 on the clock and loads of service history otherwise I would have held out for a 2 litre 110 or even a 2.2 and gone for the super tractor treatment.

yes i have a 1.9 xud but need more power to tow caravan
looked at hdi route
but i run veg although i reckon u could 2 tank it
just not keen on electronics
what would u do if it doesnt start ....

The 2.1 won't run on veg as standard, you'd need to swap the fuel pump.
The major problem won't be modifying it for veg but finding a decent one in the first place.

Howdy chaps, can anyone point me in the direction of converting a P reg 2.1 estate to a Bosch pump, I would be most greatfull, as my CAV pump has failed, and I would like to run on vegi.
