Wanted - N/S Wing - Bumper - Bonnet.

Hi Guys,

I'm looking to fix my car myself as my insurance company want to write it off!! Class C... I hate that, the car is mechanically sound and was in good nick till some one decided to pull out in front of me. The accident could have been worse, anyway, there is damage to the Wing, Bonnet and Bumper, I'm hoping that I can pull the headlight back into place, but I've yet to get a good look myself.

Does anyone have these parts in the light blue colour?

I'm hoping I can just do a part switch without having to worry about respray.

Please include a rough guide of location.

I know it's a long way from you, but A5 Salvage in Leighton Buzzard will almost certainly have the parts you're after.

They're helpful on the phone, will check whether they've got them and reserve them for you. They even helped me take the bonnet off the car last time I went.

I recently replaced my wing, bonnet and bumper - its a piece of cake - just make sure that you have an extra person to help hold the bonnet when removing / replacing it to avoid bending the hinges.

I do have a spare drivers side headlight if you want it, and a passenger wing in KMWC blue if its a match. Maybe I can remove my slam panel and black bumper backing too?

Good advice on the bonnet, I would have probably attempted it by myself, but with you saying the hinges may bend. I guess I'll rope the wife in.

Take a look at the drivers door hinge pillar, it should say KWMC** near the bottom of the label.

Which side of your car is affected? My passenger wing is mint, drivers wing is my old one - slightly battered but perfectly useable. Slam panel is a bit rusty but straight.

My old bumper is a bit pooh, but again, is perfectly useable just not the prettiest - no cracks though.

All the above can be swapped for a crate of Cider.....

Understood, and yes it would help if I actually read further down the page where is says where you are from!!

It is my passenger side, I really think that I managed to pull off a good maneuver and avoided T-Boning the old dears... not good enough though!

If I can talk the wife into a holiday after checking the B pillar then your on, otherwise thanks for being there on several occasions for me now.

No joy with the scrap yards for the panels, headlight fitted though

I need a wing and bonnet in Monaco blue KMWC and a chrome strip from the Nearside/passenger side.

I would preferably like something close by (Hull Area)

Seven out of seven bonnets sold or damaged... not having much luck in that department!?

However, wing fitted, Thanks Magic! And bumper just needed tidying.

Any suggestions on where to get the touch up paint? Halfords?

I got some mixed for me at Rainbow Paints near where I work - its a good match and was £14 for an air-arsehole...

I'm still struggling to find KMWC colour coded bonnet.

I've trawled e-bay, loads of seconda had car part online shops, local scrap yards... My god these bonnets are like hens teeth!!

Has anyone got a car they are breaking this colour, know someone, a freind of a friend... I'm starting to get pretty desperate...

How does China blue compare in the cold light of day, they look pretty similar on photo's but that could be people getting the wrong codes... so what's your view?

Find a china blue 406 or 306, then park next to it......

There was a 406 in Rugby going cheap, needed engine parts but body work looked good. May be cheaper to buy a whole car ( like I did ) keep the bits you need, sell bits you don't......
