Wanted. 406 2.2 HDI Coupe exhaust rear box

Longshot here but I have bought a 406 2.2 HDI coupe and I need a rear exhaust box for it They seem quite expensive to buy new so happy to buy secondhand one if anyone has one?

The Hdi saloon is the same box, but the tailpipe slopes down whereas the coupe goes straight out....

The hangers line up and everything..!!

Is that a saloon 2.0 or 2.2 or are they both the same? Cheers

On a coupe, all exhausts are the same diameter apart from the 2.0l

The one you need must be from a 2.2Hdi or a V6 saloon, but the diesel one is cheaper, an estate one won't fit as the hangers are in a different place.

There was a thread regarding this on the coupe club ( www.406coupeclub.org ) a while ago, worth double checking before spending your hard earned wonga on duff advice from a ginge....

Just been on-line and it appears the back boxes are all the same for the diesels, but I'm not one to trust eBay 100%.....

The pipe diameters for 110 & 2.2 boxes are definitely the same as they both use 66mm pipe clamps at the mid pipe/back box joint and 74.5 mm clamps at the cat/fap to mid pipe joint. (3.0 and 2.0 petrol turbos use 74.5 mm clamps at the back box too).

I think estate back boxes also have a longe tailpipe.

If you're anywhere near Telford I have a 110 back box in good nick for a few beer tokens, probably uneconomic to post tho if you're too far away.

Just put a straight through pipe on Your'll notice no difference in sound
