Wanted Brake server for 2.2 HDI

My Brake pedal has decided to stop rising like it used to (it does come back up, but rather slowly)

Suspected culprit is the brake server so I am after a replacement) i had expected to just be able to buy one off the shelf, but the usual suspects (ebay, ecp) cant help.

2002 2.2 HDi no ESP

I would suspect that the 2.0. one is the same and there must be plenty of those in the scrapyards. They rarely fail so you should be fairly safe getting a secondhand one. Check first to see that it has a vacuum supply.

Are you sure it's not just the pedal return spring at fault?

If you can lift the pedal and everything works as it should, I would try to sort the spring or add another.

I bought a brand new servo from the main stealers ( mates rates ) for about £100 inc VAT.

I was going to use donor cars but the ESP one is different to the non-ESP one.....

+1 on what Doggy says though, I'm not sure the servo controls how quickly the pedal rises..

Have checked Vacuum, will check the spring but the pedal is "heavy" to lift...
