Just got the car back, new clutch, sleeve and oil seal. Local mobile mechanic £300. Drives like a dream, But the clutch bite point is very low. Is this standard with a new clutch
Glad you got it sorted
Low biting point is perfectly normal after having a new clutch fitted.
Glad you got it sorted & £300 is a very good price
2002 110 HDi estate, Rapier in monaco blue! ( found quite a bit more power ) SOLD I've sorted the airbag light
1998 3.0 V6 SE coupe in Diablo Red ( my baby ) sold
2006 206 1.4 16v sport in Aegean blue ( wife's shopping trolley )
Excellent, £300.00 saves an otherwise great working car. Can't get better than that, imagine buying something else for around £500.00 it could be a whole new world of issues.
I've only ever had one clutch replaced on a car and remember the low biting point but then I think this relaxes a bit after a few hundred miles and/or you get used to it. Moving the seat a notch forward would help with the clutch action if you find it awkward.
