Im looking for a 19td NOT HDI from an S reg car. Would prefer a box with it as well as the clutch is starting to slip on mine. Would like it to be in Scotland but knowing the luck I have it will be in Kent lol.
The car is still driving but it has the noise of death when running at idle. I have heard Tractors make less noise.

Hi, I may be able to help??????????????????????????????????? In a round about way.....
I was just about to list my old but very servicable 1197R, 2.1TD GLX Estate on Ebay.
In less than a year, it has had a new clutch (£340) New Water Pump, New Cam belt, new Aux belt, new tensioners - both, new lower pulley, new wipers, new windscreen AND 2 new tyres plus I have replaced all the bulbs in the dashboard and fitted a recon blower motor (climate control fan)
The downside is that is has no MOT or Tax and needs 2 rear tyres plus a weld to the seat or replaced drivers seat to get through.
BTW, did I also forget to mention that its in Wiltshire (which is almost Kent, for you!) and that its done loads of miles - about 230k (without checking at this time of night)
The good news is that I now have a Skoda and need rid of the 406 and will take a sensible offer.
It would be worth a long drive as it has been very well looked after but currently needs a clean.
