This is where you give in, buy a different colour and have it painted, then two days later there'll be 10 green ones on Eb@y

I'd suggest that, if it doesn't present a danger to other road users, you hold out for what you want. Winter's a-coming and it'll be slidy slidy crunch time again...

(saw a nicely redesigned Merc E series earlier, ha-ha)

It's not dangerous at all and is still firmly attatched, it had already had a rear knock before so it's now looking worse, I just wanted to try and replace it at some point.I know what you mean about there being no green bumpers and then a load coming on E bay after youve bought a different colour, I've had it before with different things and it really pisses you off afterwards.

See this is where you employ ebay buying tactics... I've just purchased a new camera. Having spent about a fortnight watching them go through I was pretty confident of the price I was going to have to pay. I saw one go for £15 cheaper but that was a freak occurrence, and several were going for £30 - £50 more. So I exercised a little paitence and tactical bidding and eventually got one for 55p over target. Now at this point I usually go back to the watch list and delete all the others, knowing that should I see one go cheaper it'll piss me off, but on this occasion the Mrs (who didn't want me to have the camera in the first place) insisted on leaving them there, she was obviously hoping to see one go for a fair bit less so that she could dish out a hard time  . Well I must confess I wasn't comfortable with this, but most went for at least a tenner more, and the rest were within a quid of the price I paid. Engage smug mode..... aaahhhh! 8)

Once you've bought you item on eblag, immediately stop looking for similar items to in order to avoid annoyance.
