Due to now having a work car and a new car on it's way, I need to sell my beloved 406 exec saloon
All it's done recently it sit in the garage, no life for a car like this.The basics are:
D8 1996 P-reg
Coming up to 150k Miles
2.0L tubby exec salon manual (non slush'o'matic)
Silver with black pug bootlid spoiler
16" nimrod wheels with 4 good Michelin nitrogen filled tyres and nimrod as spare - 205/55/R16V
Full exec pack with sunroof and black leathers and working climate control.
Bit's done:
Re-built turbo about 5K miles ago, with help of Niz, 360 deg thrust bearing and stagger gap oil seals
Timing belt changed at same time with new water pump
Replaced Intercooler
Apex 30mil lowering springs all round
Powerflow stainless exhaust system with 200 cell psi high flow cat
Bailey DV24 dump valve
Boost bleed valve
Boost gauge
Fuel Cut Defender
Iridium tipped spark plugs with silicon leads
Panasonic MP3 head unit
Pioneer front speakers
JBL GTO 6x9's in parcel shelf (coupe mod)
Sony 12" explod sub with JBL GTO amp (removable if space in boot required)
Little things:
D9 bee sting aerial
Headlight Eyelids
D9 black boot lining
front grill mesh - done before I got car, not so good, would do again tbh or put orginal back
Mud Flaps - along with the lowering springs, makes it look even lower.
OK, now the bad bits:
Heated seats don't heat, but leathers in good condition and all electrics ok.
Front passenger wing rusted - been patched once but starting to blister again, needs replacement wing in summer
Usual car park dings associated with age of car, but general great condition for a 13year old car.
General:
I've loved this car since I got it in Feb 07 and spent loads on it making it look and drive as good as I can. As we all know with the tubby, nice quick car but excels on the motorway. The lowering springs stop the car wallowing around when you fancy a bit of B-road action but because it's not silly low, it doesn't compromise the ride comfort the pug is renowned for or have trouble with speed bumps or steep drives.
I've got loads of spare bits knocking around for this car, so will round them up and they come with the car.
I would love to see this car go to a loving owner, but because of the bits I understand it could make a good project car or spares car.
