what does (SR) mean

Hello

I am looking to buy a w Reg 2.o ltr Hdi 406 estate.The dealer has (SR) after the description and type of vehicle.I telephoned and asked him what it stood for and he said he did not know.has anyone got any idea what the stands for.You may be saving me from a costly mistake and I would be grateful for any advise on this matter.

My friend has always told me how great 406 diesels are and as I want an estate hence I am looking at one for under £2000.

There is no 'SR' in HDi form. There is sn SRi in the petrol range.

The only thing I can think of (and don't laugh) is Sun Roof! sounds daft but a sunroof is very very rare.

Not on the non-british ones. The Irish ones are broken into three categories. It could have been brought in from Ireland.

SR = L
ST = LX or GLX
SV = Executive

The dealer said it did not have a sunroof.I have seen another 406 advertised with the (SR) and this one does have a sun roof.

I did a basic check on the registration and its not recorded as a write of or had any insurance claim s against the car.I am due to travel some distance to view the car tomorrow,but am now a little un settled by the (SR). Any more help would be appricated

All it means is that the car could have been offered at some point with an air con / sunroof either or option.

I wouldnt be concerned about it in the slightest.

I noticed when looking up the car on Glass that there were two variations of my car. SR and AC. I assumed that it was Sunroof and AirCon?

today I brought an
Peugeot 406 2.0 HDi LX 110 Diesel Estate 02 registration.I have always wanted to try this model as my friend is always gone on about how reliable they are.I am sure he will be right. So perhaps someone will come up with the definitive answer to this post
