Re: Im breaking a car
I have the wood, and no real need for it, so about £10 for them that includes postage?
as for the window switches i do have them in my reserve of spare parts in my attic.
but £25 and ill sell the wood, and two back switches.

Re: Im breaking a car
Anyhow today was the day the car went to the scrap yard. So i removed all the tools out of the car, put in all the rubbish trim and tied the doors up. Then removed the exhaust for my decat experiment on my own car.
So the car was ready to lift into the dump trailer, my dad got the forklift a 2.5 tonne one which did lift a bit with the car. He had the car lifted about 1.5 meters and accidentally dropped it, that smashed the back window, oil was lost, then we pushed it back on its side, because there was no wheels on the car it was lifted by the roof, which got buckled, and the windscreen cracked. Putting it onto the trailer, it didnt fit quite right, so some persuading with the forklift ended in the door getting quite reshaped.
Some photos of course:

There is still a few bits lying around, climate control, mfd, radio, speaker grilles, seatbelt surrounds, and other stuff sitting in boxes.

Re: Im breaking a car
The lane you have to go back down is quite narrow and full of old scrap sitting in the way, he hit a few things including that green volvo.
Did you see the mk1 golf, not a bad wee car, and the D8 sitting on the side was quite a mint looking car.
Unfortunatley this crowd are a bunch of arseholes, i remember there was a suzuki samurai sitting on their front yard, i asked can i get some parts off it, no, i said ill pay for them, still no. And it went to the square machine. I could have got myself a new doorhandle and window frame.

Re: Im breaking a car
The doors were the wrong colour, they were rusty, the bonnet was rusty it had lacquer coming off, and it had a few big dents, the bootlid was rusty.
As for the engine and the gearbox, i wasnt up for the bother of trying to sell it. And the gearbox is probably different from my car because reverse is below 5th in this car.
