Re: 10000k hid kit h7r and other bits
honestly guys there not illegal because due to experience before i wanted these to be legal so made sure they wer for MOT and for police to be honest 10000k isnt as bright as 6000k its not really dazzling when the car is behind u my dad has 10000k fitted on his 306 estate exact same bulbs and his car been behind mine and its just like normal bulbs but with more visibility. its really hard to judge by photos as all photos give an indication of glare no matter what bulb u use
i live in glasgow scotlands biggest crime rated city = more police cars and also traffic police so i needed to drive past the police near enough everyday and they didny even blink an eyelid.

As i said before, I'm gonna fit the hids and see what they are like. I've hav 6000 & 4300 k bulbs in previous cars so if these seem too purple I'll get some whiter bulbs. Thanks for all your advice tho. The reason I checked if they are plug and play is to make sure they will be easy to put back should I not like them.

I was just doing a search on here for HIDS, and came across this crap. 10,000k HIDS, are you for feel, seriously? Just asking for trouble fitting those.
Its best to only fit 4300k or 6000k, altho 10000k are not as bright as those, they produce too much blue/purple which is an illegal light.
Just because something passes an MOT doesn't mean its legal. Stick to 4300k or 6000k and you wont get too much hassle from Police.
BTW ALL aftermarket HID kits are technically by the strict letter of the law illegal. ATM Police turn a blind eye, but take the p!ss with 8000k+
and they will eventually have clamp down on them.
I have 6000k in my 328, passed 2 MOT's and never had any hassle from Police even tho I've been pulled over loads of times and they have looked at them.

The MOT test is changing, and Part of the changes is to do with HID's
