Otherwise, options are buy the new starter at £47, but will I see the money back?
Yes it can't but help the sale, as a new starter always sounds good![]()
But, could I ask much more than £500?
What do you lads AND lassthink my 406 is worth ( not tax, mot'd till 23rd May - no I don't fancy putting 12 months mot on it as just haven't got the funds too invest unfortunately
)
OR
I'm going a wedding next Saturday and coming back Sunday and It's in Devon.
There is a starter motor that I thought about buying before and it didn't sell at £7.99 plus £9.75 postage, and it's been relisted, again at the same price.
I previously messaged the seller, and got the VIN and the part numbers match.
The listing ends Saturday, and they are in Taunton.
Thinking of messaging the seller and asking if I win, could I collect on Sunday on the way back from Devon, as got to pass Taunton![]()
Got nothing to lose at £7.99 and wouldn't have the worry of trying to recoup the cost really have I ?
Good ladplod wrote:Thanks peeps
Seller says I can collect Sunday so yes, think get it running again and put it up for £550 as you say Sonia
See now all i keep reading is "I really want a newer 406"plod wrote:Won the starter motor on eBay
Someone did bid against me but still got it for £9.37 although guess in reality I just chuck him a tenner
Picking it up lunch time on way back from Torquay where I've been for a wedding
Managed 35mpg on the way down, and 27 round and about in the dingo
Fingers crossed for 35 on way back
Still no patch on the pug
I've had to drive carefully and slower to get those mpg figures and its still going to be £100 for a long weekend in Devon
Last year in the pug, I drove to Cornwall, drove round all week, and back on £100 and I wasn't messing about lol
Dingo anyone lol
