it could be the ecu. if you lift the switch in the middle can the full seat rise?

only the front will rise and go down.

this switch arrowed orange slides the seat back  even if you push it up or down all it does is slides the seat back .

sounds like somethings been wired up wrong.
In my car the back of the base can go up and down, the front of the base can also go up and down.
Although when putting the seat down it does go back a small bit, just how the mechanism works.

nothing can be wired up wrong. it hasnt been retro wired.

a simple power cable to the ecu and thats it.

all my seats have original plugs fitted into the bottom of them ..

have you got memory on these new seats?
does it affect both seats?
perhaps its a motor issue?

im not sure where the memory comes from. i think you must memorise it first.
Also in my car theres a bleep that comes from the com2000 to let you know its finished setting the seat and mirror positions.

well now, id contact the seller you got the ecu off.
i cant help anymore, i havent worked on my leccy seats so cant comment. But with the amount of wires under there a loose/bad connection is not impossible. Take the airbag faults i had when i got my car.

there hadnt been much rain, ha. Its the uk rain is part of daily life.
Does the seat smell damp?
Can you take the switch out? Ive never did it to mine, but i think you could clean the contacts.
Watch out for really small springs flying all over the place when its opened.

dave ive tried a new switch today. no luck.

the guy i got my ECU off is sending me another.

but to be honest im gonna use my switch and plug off my GTX seat and do away with the ecu

a switch and plug kit off a GLX seat will eliminate the use of the ECU.

you get 2 wires on the GLX switch. a simple pos and neg

then plug the orange 1 into drivers seat.
get rid of the white plug completely on the leather seat cos thats only for the switch.

see,, the switch from a GLX has 2 plugs on the end. orange and yellow

switch from executive has 2 plugs on the end, a white and green (green for memoery switch)

if you look at your passangers seat on your leathe,r that, like the GLX drivers seat has a orange and yellow.

so the switch from the drivers GLX will convert your leather drivers seat to be just like your passanger seat

2 simple wires for pos and neg

NO ecu
