How many owners has the car had? Any known faults or reason why it's not being MOT'd?

its been a really good car to the family and its previous two owners, but i dropped on with a really cheap picasso which i couldn't say no to.
When i bought the citroen i had every intention of getting the mot done on the 406, but i have just lost my job this week and cant afford to spend a penny on it so it has to go as it is.
The only fault it has which it has had since the day i had it back in jan 2008 is that reverse can be awkward to select, other than that it really is good, ok there are a few lscrathes here and there and one of the fog light lenses at the front is cracked, but it must be appreciated that she is ten years old now.
With a little love and attention she would easliy fetch over £1000.
