D9 estate 2.2 SRi silver

Post by no2lurch »

tax till end of jan next year. mot till mid july next year.

bad points - bonnet is sightly out of line due to someone dinking it whilst it was parked and it is jumping out of reverse - not always tho. i have repaired the bottim engine mount (servicable bodge) but its still the same.

i'm at the stage now where i want to sell it NOW.

i dont have the money to repair it! and its not the car i loved when i bought it.

it needs 2 front tyres - i will put two good part worns on it before selling.

£750.00 no offers. I know its worth more in bits but i dont have the time or room to break it. and besides, with a little time and money, it will be a fantastic car for someone.

please see the following links for more details etc and pics

If you're getting to the desperate stage, maybe you should break it. From the pics I've seen you've got a driveway, so there's space to keep it off the road (& SORNed) & chances are, you're going to get more in parts than you would as a whole anyway.

If it's any help, I'd make you a decent offer on the interior as the offer I made ages ago (when you first looked at selling) was based on me cannibalizing the car anyway.

That's a shame but I guess you needed it gone asap.

Don't be a stranger though fella, you don't get to making your nearly 700 posts for nothing so please keep popping in.

Good luck with whatever to get/do next (it is forum tradition to show a pic if you buy another car :) ).

Cheers,

Welly

Shame you had to let her go mate, that 2.2 was a seriously nice car, and it's good to hear it's gone as a complete car rather than as a breaker / donor car. As Welly says, don't be a stranger - after all, he's a Volvo owner and hasn't left the 406 fold yet. And yeah, pictures of your replacement vehicle are mandatory :)

Highlander- I sold it to ade off the coupe forum. He offered a fair price and I had to take it. I like to think it will keep other cars on the road.

Welly- I got a pug 106 diesel. It's not pretty nor fast but it does the job.
