You never know, perhaps some tramp has been using it for the last few years to sleep on, and would have died of hypothermia long ago if it wasn't for the extra insulation it provides.

I think so but it depends on the engine.

iwas thinking of making a undertray for my citreon,
it looks fairly easy to make one, and ive already spotted something with thick black plastic (Wheelie bin)

Good idea that, ithink metal wouid be best,
the undertray ihad on the old 406 was in 2 peices it had seen too many cable ties,
not seen any on any breaker cars, they must be prone for getting smashed to bits, there worth having on tho, saves all that water getting sprayed up on the belts & pulleys,

I was going to get one made out of Ali or Galv sheet but really needed a template

It would be nice to have a tailored metal one, perhaps with a little trap door for access to the sump plug

Neither of my 406s had one - fair enough on the '99 LX (the only luxury items on which were the aircon, front leccy windows, and rain sensor), but I'd have thought the Coupe would have had one.

Maybe mine disappeared some time before I bought it? The car was previously used to murder a badger, requiring a new bumper, radiator, and associated pipework, so maybe the undertray disappeared then?

Also, according to Service Box, no D8 coupé had an undertray...
