T Reg HDi 90 estate - Breaking

Post by JonL »

Well the old girl has finally hung up her boots and is going to the great roadway in the sky next week. The sump has cracked and thus the engine is probably toast. If anyone needs any parts then let me know, no reasonable offer refused (as long as I can get the parts off reasonably easily), and I'll strip them off prior to getting rid of her, or if you want the whole car it's in Sandwich Kent.

Thanks,

Jon

I managed to put a horrible scrape on my steering wheel centre this weekend changing my interior. What sort of condition is the driver side airbag in & how much would you want to post it? 2 torx screws which are accessed from behind the wheel to remove it - fairly easy job.

Never really looked, but can go out and check first thing in the morning. As for cost I'm open to all offers, as long as I cover the postage and a little bit to make it worth while taking stuff off and I'm happy.

Will PM you with an offer later - want to double-check if there's anything else I can take off your hands that may make it more worth your while.

Out of curiosity, what model was it - LX, GLX?

Not yet - the weather hasn't held off long enough (while I haven't been working) to valet it. SE seats went with the SRi door cards last night though. Opted to stick with the black ash trim rather than the blue from the SRi.

if its a t reg is it a d9?
because if so the air bag releases diffrent, if you look round the steering wheel you will see a small hole you have to insert a small screwdiver in the hole and at the same time press down on the airbag.on this model the air bag is held in with a metal clip[looks a bit like a headlight bulb clip]
also dont forget to disconect the battery before you start.

That's only on the Comm2000 ones mate after 2001. Mine was the 2 screws. Not sure if the D8s are the same as mine though.

The other thing is are the injectors still good? If so is it Bosch fuel system?

If so how much for the injectors if they are bosch?

In margate now so could theoretically pick them up when ever.

Waue - If you want that steering wheel - if you can pay him, then meet me on the A303 possibly Bank Holiday monday after new years i can give it to you then if it helps you out.
