I'm off (with a grown-up to help) to get the bonnet and front bumper from this tomorrow, hopefully.

It looks like the bottom pulley disintegrated and took out the cam belt. It's very dirty inside.
I was wondering whether there are any other bits I should have while I'm at it.
The COM2000 is floppy -- not that I fancy trying to get that out.
It has sat nav, but the guy says the MFD is "scrambled". I asked if it had lines down it and he said "no, it's scrambled" so I think I'll leave it.
Clarion CD head unit (no changer). Might be useful since mine won't pick up FM any more. How do you code them to the car?

That's a hell of a long way to go for a bonnet & bumper. Reckon it'd be worth your while trying to get the drivers window switch if it's ok.

PP2000 job. It should work in the 'wrong' car, but beep every so often until coded. (At least you can prove it's viable first).rwb wrote:Clarion CD head unit (no changer). Might be useful since mine won't pick up FM any more. How do you code them to the car?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: 2002 HDi 110 GLX estate
2.5 hours in mud and rain and I now have a new bonnet without dent and front bumper that isn't hanging off at one side
Neither are perfect, but they're better than their embarrassing predecessors.
We found it necessary to remove the headlights in order to get to the clips that hold the bumper to the wings under the headlights.
The MFD has vertical and horizontal lines on it. I'd say it was usable, but I left it.
It wasn't clear whether the radio was picking up FM, so I left that too.
I also had a fiddle with the wires under my seat and the air bag light has gone off
