For Sale - D9 406 Lx Hdi 110 Family Estate

Post by calmac »

Hello guys, first post and all that so please be gentle. I have a W reg (2000) 406 for sale. Its a HDi 110 estate, has done 168,000 miles and I would like to sell it. The problem is I have no real idea what it might be worth and don't want to send it to the scrapyard as there is too much life left in her. I have owned the car for 2 years, bought it off my mechanic who owned it from 2007. It is in good condition, has alloys and privacy glass (for my little boy) and has been fully serviced since 2007. The cam belt was changed at 158K and it has just had an oil and filter change.

Any advice would be appreciated, as I said, I really dont want to scrap it but could really do with the space on the drive.

Many thanks

Calum

Depends how much mot is on it,
and condition,

if theres no mot or its short it wouid be worth abit more than Breaker price to the right person,

if its got mot, £600 -£700 dependant on condition - if your looking for a quick sale,
sorry just being honest,

Thanks for that guys, it has an MOT until November. It really is a good car, i am just fed up with it now. Although thinking about selling it has got me thinking how much use it is for taking the whole family out! Appreciate your help. :)

Excellent stuff, the waterpump was changed too. In fact, there was a load of work done, the bill was over £800. I have a Mondeo 2.0 petrol too, i prefer it as it feels much more modern but in the face of fuel costs i think i will most likely end up keeping the pug.
