Re-homing the dogmobile?

Post by Doggy »

Think I'm finally thinking of changing cars and would like to gauge interest in my trusty steed:-

2002 '52' 2.2 HDi Executive Estate in Moonstone Blue / Cream leather, which I've owned for a week short of 4 years now.
All the toys, (bar satnav & ESP). Everything works, (except autolights disabled due to random operation - most people can manage a light switch)!
High mileage, (bought it at 103k, now 188k), but nearly all of this is my 60 mile/day commute via A14 and other main roads.
De-fap / remap 178 bhp, 295 lb/ft, July 2010 @ 137k
Maintained regradless of cost, as most of the regulars know, e.g.
4 discs, pads, h/brake shoes, Jan 2010 @ 148k
Timing belt, pulley, idler + aux belt, pulley & idler June 2011 @ 157k
Clutch, DMF, diff oil seals, drop links July 2012 @ 175k
Oil, filter, air, fuel + pollen filters Aug 2012 @ 182k
Front shocks + strut top bearings Aug 2012 @ 183k
4 Dunlop SP Fast Response 205/60/VR15 Aug 2012 @ 184k
MOT / Tax end Jan 2013, current mileage 188k - would consider putting 12 months 'ticket' on it.
Looking for sensible offers over £1,000

So go rattle your piggy-banks folks....
(You know you want to).
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Doggy? wash your mouth out with soap and go sit in the corner

All I can say to ANYONE considering buying your car is TO DO SO!

Probably the most mechanically-sorted 406 on here.

Nothing wrong with brand loyalty, nothing wrong with PSA cars* (ok, someone went a bit mental with the blobfish grilles on the Pugs but the Citroens are generally one of, if not the, best looking cars on the road)

*Not more than any other car these days anyway.

Where's a tank crushing a Volvo emoticon when you need one?

I'll make some enquiries locally on what I could get for my D8 then convince the good lady I need a car with double the horses :cheesy:

Mind you I bet the insurance is about the same as my D8, being a 96 P lots of companies wouldn't even quote me on it!!!
