Hi & welcome to the forum, don't discount a nice car just because it hasn't got seven seats as these can be retro fitted very easyly & they are not to much to buy / come up on ebay quite often or pug breakers

Hi, I converted my 2.2Hdi Exec to a 7 seat with an ebay auction for the kit. Took 2 me hours and was relatively easy, and I'm a ham-fisted muppet....!!

Just make sure all the pieces are there before you bid, or find a local one and check it yourself.

There are plenty of 406 Estates on eBay / Gumtree etc. Maybe start looking the week before you sell your Focus to give time for auctions to end.

If you see any you like, you can post the link on the forum so we can all check it out, for good points and bad points.. :supafrisk:

Good luck.

If looked after properly the 2.0 hdi can run to 300k no prob 8) , but you need proof of service history & some parts cannot be skimped on ie: cambelt kit's :)
Don't be put off by a car that's in nice condtion with a good service history & high miles, ie 140k-150k +.
Just if it has look for & ask for proof of clutch replacment too as this can be expensive  .
T.B.H that's about all there is to worry about, like I said I'd buy a high mileage good cond/service hist car over a low mileage / scruffy or no history car anyday  .
Hope this is of some help Paul :cheesy:
