WANTED: 406 IGNITION BARREL

406 ignition barrel wanted for 2000 X hdi estate. Complete with key, transponder and ring please???

Hi, i have one from a breaking V plate HDI estate, i have ignition barrel, transponder, BSI, door locks, boot lock and glove box lock. Any good to you? Cheers and keyof course!

Sorry about late reply, wife been in hospital... I did manage to source one local but barrel a bit sticky! How much you after for yours please?

Hi no worries, i think if im right that yiu would need the bsi and another elecrtical box? I have basically

Barrell
Transponder
One key
Both matching door locks, boot and glove box.
Bsi
Clocks
Radio
Another electric box?

Correct me if im wrong but if you change barrel, then you need the matching transponder, bsi thats paired to it? I would guess you would want one key for all locks?

When you changed your last barrel for the "sticky" one what did you change aswell?

I just kept with my original transponder chip and ring. As it was the actual barrel mechanism that's faulty, you don't need to change bsi over, just the ring and chip out of key. It is a bit of a pain having 2 keys though...

I've got a new one sitting in a whole car that I am getting ready to scrap if that's any good? only had it done the xmas before the mot failed on welding
