on the end of the ignition Barrel where the wires go in,is there a White cap,. Aka Black cap.

not sure if you can black cap these,

if its same as that  :arrowu:

then there you goes, you wouid have to leave ignition barrel on after removing cap, put key in ignition for imobilser to shake hands with,
make sure - steering lock in barrel aint iffy tho, !!

Ah rite its that whats Bolloxed then,

how did you mash that up ?  :?

No way round it other than Bridge in the wires,

id be tempted to just bridge the wires with car fuses just to test,. (work out whats what,)

yellow with yellow orange with orange blah de blah.. iguess the two high post ones are the ones that bridge to get starter motor whirling

It wouldn't turn when I opened the ignition up an seen the Y was goosed so I though what the hell, got nothin to lose!! Was kinda hopin I could just turn it with a big blade screwdriver but when I tried opening it everything seemed to fall apart

Will have a go at bridging if I can't source a new barrel an hope I don't fry the ecu

Suffered the same problem on one of mine. The two curved contacts feed power to the blower fan, I believe. Run the fan on full and they heat up, melting the plastic casing and jamming the switch. Forcing the key to turn tears up the 'Y'. I went to a local french car breakers and the let me trawl the wrecks for the wiring loom. There are several different looms just to make life difficult. They have different plugs, I don't know if they could be rewired. Good news, your key and barrel are OK (unless you damaged them getting the out.) so you don't need a lock set.
An early indicator that you have this problem is a hot key when you take it out of the ignition.
