Very good strong engine and box.
Peugeot Tow bar
All electrics work
Coupe alloys
New alternator
Coupe leather wheel and gear knob
Front fog lamps
In everyday use until beginning of summer, then the bike took over.
Brakes, steering suspension all good.

Drive away from Fordingbridge area, New Forest

I've got a trip to the coast with 4 kids and luggage in a couple of weeks, at that price it's cheaper than a hire car.
A cheap 406 estate would be an ideal option....interested to see the pics!!

Just noticed this bit.
Don't think it has an MOT, it had when i last used it in April, i SORN it every summer when i use my bike. Again i 'll check when i get home.

No service history, i have had it years, same MOT garage every year, who is a nightmare, once failed another of my cars for a brake light bulb, replaced the bulb and past it. No holding back on the smoke test either. But as my wife and kids also used the car, you knew it was safe. Oil changed at least twice a year, all other fluids, (brake, gearbox, anti-freeze) changed annually.

That is a mega barge for 150 sheets, especially with the 2.1 engine.

Good lord yes, 150 smackers must be just above it's weigh-in value, what's not to like?

The 2.1 is a cracking engine, 12valve head, 110bhp and you can feel the boost come on a bit later than HDi's in fact they feel faster because of the boost shove and encourage greater revs. They will do monster mileages, I had one in a 605STDT that reached over 260K miles. I think for the relative simplicity alone they make a great choice.

The Lucas EPIC injection pump tends to put people off as they have a bad rep, even mechanics are often quick to point the finger at them, rather then do any actual thinking. Pug themselves condemned mine but it was one of the injectors (which on these are a damn site cheaper than an HDI's piezos).

I believe these can be swapped out for the Bosch pump from the 1.9TD, which is apparently more robust, and will allow you to run the 2.1TD on vegetable oil.
