For Sale 1997 406 V6 3Litre Executive Saloon Red

In excellent condition for year. Maroon/Red. 179,000 miles. This is the top-of-the-range, Executive model with full leather, electric seats and mirrors, cruise control, AC and trip computer.
A new Radio/MP3 player has been fitted. All the tyres are nearly new. The cam belt was changed at 155,000 miles. Coil packs were changed in 2014.
This car can cruise easily at 120MPH and can top out above 145MPH. 0-60 is about 6 seconds as the engine was 'chipped' to 220 BHP before we bought it! The onboard Trip Computer calculates fuel economy at 34 MPG at Motorway speed [70MPH].

Over the years the suspension components have been replaced so there is no knocking. Power steering hoses and pipes replaced in 2013. Undersealed from new so in excellent shape underneath. The anti-lock Brakes are in excellent shape.
New radiator in 2015.

There is a tow-bar with electrics - all working fully. The exhaust system is in mainly good condition apart from the back box which has had a repair done recently so it isn't blowing.
The oil and filter has been changed every year we've owned the car. There are heated seats but we inadvertently disconnected them when we stripped all the seats out to valet the car a few years back. They can be plugged back in via the centre console but as we never use them we haven't bothered!

We've had the car 10 years and have always looked after it and kept it garaged. This is a lovely car to drive and has a real bite to its performance. We've enjoyed many European trips in 'Twiggy' but we are parting with her now as we've gone for an electric car so she is now redundant. There is one missing headlamp washer cover [see photo].

Hi Jack - I have watching the eBay auction with great interest over the last few weeks - and to be honest I'm surprised it hasn't been snapped up yet.

Its a great example, well cared for and would give many modern cars a surprise at the traffic lights, its a shame you are so far away....

Yip, we've had a lot of fun with it over the years - more noticeable as it must be a bit of a surprise to see an "R" reg take off like that and keep on going!
The electric is pretty good at the lights too - but we can't keep it up for long unless we're only going down the road to the shops!
For sure, our location is probably the reason it hasn't been snapped up - still, living in the Lake District has plenty of advantages, so can't really complain.

If anyone out there on the Intraweb is interested we've relisted the car on Ebay with a reserve of £450. Although the car is located at CA23 in West Cumbria we could deliver for the cost of 'one-way' fuel. Payment would obviously have to be cleared in advance.
