my 406 HPI 2.0 petrol executive.its the last of its kind in the UK ..and is up for sale asking £600 for it .. , my brother John Walsh a Mechanic for well over 40 years owned it ,and now it belongs to me ..we had a few problems with the car ,but thats all now been sorted ,while the 406 was being sorted i bought another car and i sorned the 406 ,now the car is sorted i feel its time,for the car to go to somebody who will look after it ,a enthusiast who loves Peugeot,s..i refuse to sell any parts from this car ,it is far to good & rare for that ..i am not a Mechanic and i cant look after the car mechanically.plus i cant afford to run two cars ..so sadly its got to go ..the car as been very well looked after and is a stunning car........ ,its 2002 HPI 2.ltr executive.,you can check the mot history on the uk gov website ,....i will tell you the bits others dont tell you ,there is a slight scrape on the front vallance ,i slight dint on rear panel ,these can be sorted in 5 mins if you know what your doing ,since the car has been on the diagnostic machine i have ended up with a air bag light on ,this has never been on .so that 5 mins to take off ,..the Key wants doing for remote control & the alarm ..i just use the doors .everything else if perfect ,the car is 16 years old so bound to be a few bits here and there ,...its done 107.000 miles this is genuine milage..the car is in original condition no fancy bits added to the car .,the alloys are almost perfect ,the Tyres are like new ,the car has been serviced from new ,it also has Stainless made to measure Exhaust system fitted.the key remote wants doing,i just use the door key, the mot is while Sept 26th 2018 ,. and i have tons of paperwork for the car ..if your interested please message me ..i have put the car on here because i know whoever buys it ,will look after it ,if nobody is interested in it .i will advertise it on another forum.thanks for taking to time to read ,if you want to check on the gov uk for the MOT history reg number is AJ51 XVY...This is the last of its kind in the uk with the HPI Engine in ..

Same colour as the two I have. It is indeed in very good condition, if it was an Hdi I might well be interested myself.

That is a beautiful car. It looks very nice, with all that light leather interior. For only £600 at 107 k miles the buyer is having a bargain here!

This was member DaiRees personal car for many years, think he paid big money for it when it was nearly new and as with most long-term ownerships has been well cared for and maintained well.

Thanks for the comments ,it seems nobody is interested ,i had 1 person interested but he has not replied since last week ..so tomorrow night its going on Ebay.

Well, eBay is the place if you want a quick sale.

Over the years, I've owned a few cars that were a little bit special. In their
condition, or rarity, or something about their history. I've thought that everyone else would
instantly recognise that and snap the car up. Often that doesn't immediately happen.

You've only mentioned it here 2 days ago. That's nothing.

The majority of british car buyers are so scared of "old" cars especially if the yearly RFL is quite high, perhaps you could try 'Car and Classic' to advertise it? they seem to attract the quirky or noteworthy cars.

Like truffy says it's early days and you just need the right person to pop up. Ebay might throw up some interest anyway, to be fair there's probably only about 15 or 20 'regulars' on here now. Just thought maybe you could try the French Car Forum too?

There has been two Hpi 406s recently - one was a metallic red saloon, one was a silver estate - both were spares or repair as they had reliability issues.
I didn't see the final price though.

I know your car is possibly the best example of the Hpi executive around, it's been well maintained by Dai and John so I believe it's worth more than £600 - however I don't think Jo public will appreciate it as much as we do, so I believe the price you want will nearly be met.
Unless of course, you find a 406 enthusiast that knows the car.
