Selling my V6 Estate GLX Manual (probably regretfully)

Post by MilesS835 »

I have spent the last few months fighting myself over this. But realistically I really do have to sell. I have too many cars and I can't afford to keep them all!

So Here it is:
For Sale 1998 GLX estate 3.0 V6 Manual(D8)
123900 Miles on the clock
12 months MOT
Mechanically the car is really quite good, only issues are a minor exhaust leak and a stiff handbrake (could do with new cables)
Has a lot of receipts and service history! Over 7K spend on it in the past 10 years iirc.

Howmanyleft says there are only 11 406 GLX V6's left, taking into account the body shape and gearbox - it wouldn't surprise me if there are only a couple left.

Parts fitted:
40mm Cobra lowering springs fitted recently (still rides well, handles a bit better and certainly looks better!)
New strut top bearings
New drivers side anti roll bar drop link
New Discs and pads, front and rear
Brand new battery fitted
new boot badge emblem
new(ish) rear number plate
new radiator cap
Pioneer door speakers

Bad parts:
Paint is horrific, lacquer peel showing up all over the place now and it's more like pink, than Diablo red :(
Door card fabric sagging, I've done a budget recover on the front door cards.
It has 1 Key, the key only works in the ignition(the central locking does work well though)

In case you don't know the V6 GLX spec...
3.0 V6 194 BHP
Air Conditioning (working!)
Climate control
Cruise Control
Electric windows all round
Electric Mirrors
Automatic wipers
Front Fog lights
Steering rake & reach adjustment
adjustable Lumbar support (on drivers seat)
60/40 split rear seats

I had it up on the ramp at work today to check it over, other than the subframes/suspension arms, there is no rust underneath! it's really clean and solid.
I planned on doing a respray in Candy apple red but I don't have the time or money.

I paid £1150 for it two years ago, it's had about £500 in parts/upgrades.

I'm asking £1300 Ono for it.
Pictures are too large apparently, but they're on this:
