Straight on to the important bits:
- First registered 29th November 1997 (R-reg)
- 3000cc, V6, 194bhp, petrol, manual, saloon, gunmetal metallic gray, light gray leather
- Electric everything, front seats, (heated) mirrors, all windows, auto-wipers, 6-CD changer, cruise control, etc.
Good points:
- Only one owner before me (I bought it in November 2004 - pretty much on its 7th birthday)
- Only 62500 miles (only 10000 or so done by me since I owned it) - (updated with accurate mileage)
- Full main Peugeot dealer service history, with all the stamps, invoices, receipts, old MOTs, etc.
- Cambelt replaced at 54000 miles (as a preventative measure, there wasn't actually anything wrong with it)
- Radiator replaced at 54000 miles (see below)
- MOT until December 2007
- Tax until end of May 2007
- Brand new exhaust system (NOT including catalytic converter) in December 2006
- New brake shoes (for handbrake) at the back in December 2006
- New front brake pads in April 2007
- Oil and filter changed in April 2007
- Fully working air-con
- Minor frontal damage from a prang in stop-and-start traffic. Mounts for both lights were cracked and the radiator suffered damage, and all of these things were replaced with brand new items (I did the lights myself, and the radiator was replaced by the main dealer). The only remaining consequences are that the Peugeot badge is broken (but this is nearly invisible except on close inspection), there's some paint peeling off the front bumper, and the bonnet is a bit difficult to open, it doesn't pop when you pull the release lever, you either need to prop the lever in the "open" position and then go to the front and open the bonnet, or you need two people to do it. The bonnet itself suffered no damage.
- * In the last couple of months, I've noticed a clunk from one of the suspension corners, to be honest, I can't tell if it's coming from the front or the back, I think it's the front... Not sure what this is, it only seems to happen at low speeds over bumpy surface - hopefully nothing expensive to fix
- The bracket connecting the back exhaust box with the middle pipe probably needs changing, I don't think it's the correct fit, and there's a bit of blow-by by it.
- Several minor dents, stone chips, scratches, nothing big and all normal for the car nearly 10 years old.
- One very small windscreen chip (was there when I bought the car)
- Heated seats don't work (never worked since I bought the car)
- One of the knobs on the passenger seat for electrical adjustment is broken off (was this way when I bought the car)
- One of the LEDs behind the LCD screen on the radio seems to have died - but everything is still totally visible and legible
I have been totally honest about the car's condition, and mentioned everything I could think of that a potential buyer should be aware of. Any inspection welcome. The car's in Northolt, Middlesex.
Pictures to follow.
I am very reluctantly selling this car as I'm aware that unfortunately, their value on the market today is ridiculously low. It really has served me fantastically and I will be sorry to see it go, but I simply have no need for it any longer, since it's been replaced by a... (that's for another post!).
A heck of a lot of car at a bargain £895 ovno. PM me if interested.
