I've been trying to work that one out all afternoon, what carpark???

Maybe I shouldn't have posted this in the "For Sale" bit but I've stuck it on here as yet another example of the La-la Land car prices here. For those of you watching in black & white, the ad says
some pizdek wrote:P-406 1.9 TDI 1997, crashed, engine in wonderful condition, £792.72
Bearing in mind there's someone wanting £800 for a good condition V6 estate of the same year somewhere else on this here forum, you'd be forgiven for thinking something's seriously wrong here. What's worse is in all probability someone will buy this car and fix it up (see seriosly destroyed Glof pics in this thread) or use it to fix one in a similar condition. Just what planet are these people on??

You know the ones where you have to press a button to raise the barrier and you grab a ticket through the window. It'd be a nightmare leaning over the passenger seat! :P

Oh! I must admit I hadn't thought of that  I was wonderng what car park you'd want to drag a wrecked car into...

I had that sort of problem driving my (rhd) Transhit on the toll roads here, no problem with a mate in the passenger seat but a nuisance having to shuffle across when I was on my own. The last time I drove it they'd change the machines, I drove up to the first toll and waited for a ticket, nothing, so I backed up (good job it was at night) and went to the other one, still no ticket. I was sitting there wondering who had it in for me when a guy came over and handed me the ticket down, the machines had decided my van was actually an articulated lorry and had produced the tickets a meter above my head

Just what is the point? (yeah, I'm bored and it's far too hot outside to do anything useful, apart from die of heatstroke)

I'm fine thanks, ta :cheesy: I'm actually posting 406s that come out in the paper where I live, straight ones command silly money but bent ones are just insane - eg the first one is a 1997 1.9td, in the UK it'd be worth a few hundred for a good straight car but they wanted almost £800 for that mangled pile of junk! And guess what? It's not in the paper anymore so I presume it's sold!!Image

Edit: @Welters: It's women what done that to meImage

Thats £100 less than i got for my 99 Hdi Exec! Insane! ok, it had "slighty" more miles on the clock, but it was in one piece!

Whats the rules to importing cars into Croatia? When i drove to turkey this year i saw a lot of cars (ex German) been driven south on export plates. In turkey you have to pay tax to (their) value of the car to import one, which stops people flooding the country with cheap cars, as you have to pay more than the car is worth there.

Guess its same where you are?
