406 SRi Breaking

Post by Pob »

Hi all,

I have a 406 SRi '98 R reg in Silver that I'm breaking. The engine, gearbox, wiring loom, ECU, front brakes have already gone, Everything else is there for now. If you want any parts let me know asap. I may be able to post some small bits out, but collection would be prefered as I don't really have the time to strip everything off and post it.

Car located near to Peterborough

Just be quick, the car is going to be scrapped soonish.

Erm, i've not looked in the boot but I imagine you'd have to be a very small midget to fit in comfortably, It's a saloon

Never heard of a D8 estate SRi, but the D9 2.2 SRi came in estate flavour. It managed to avoid that godawful interior too

Godawful? I carn't believe a fella Peugeot lover would slate the French design! I think it's one of the nicest interior i've seen... Actually no, it's horrible. Whoever decided on that design needs a slap. Oh and whats made mine even worse is that it was used as a dog kennel a few times so it could do with a scrub, Any takers?

Is there a handy photo of this SRi interior?

I've heard it being trashed on this board before, but I've never seen an SRi around Aberdeen (have seen L, LX, GLX, Rapier and Exec though, there's quite a few 406's around here).

Aaaaaaaaah my eyes!

That's awful; how could anyone think that a design like that would be a good idea?

It's worse than you think as it's a poor picture. The dashes all over the place are RED not black!

After trying to find that picture last night, I discovered that the D9 SRis were given a sensible interior with half-leather seats.

D9 SRi's arent as good IMO, Its just a standard 2.2 engine. No turbo. The D8 SRi's and Tubby Exec's have way more potential

Remap potential tho. I was just thinking that the 2.2 SRi is really quite standard. The D8 SRi had the upholstry specific to that model despite the fact it was ugly.
Am i right in thinking that the D9 SRi is only available in blue?
