Hello, in the last few months the list of niggling faults on my 406 has crept up and it's got to the point where i'm getting bored with it and don't have time to hunt around scrap yards for the bits i need to fix them.
As in title, car is a 1999 D9 (V registration) in navy blue with MOT until July 2010 and Tax until May.
Has velour seats and six disc CD changer.
Serviced myself every 7-10k with 10w40 Semi-Synthetic Chevron oil, oil and air filters from Eurocarparts/GSF (either Purflux or MANN).
Work completed at garages since i bought the car (have receipts for): - Timing belt & water pump changed in January 2007 @ 82k. New lift pump fitted Feb 2007 @ 84k. New front discs/pads in July 2007. New clutch fitted July 2008 (2 year unlimited mileage warranty). New crank pulley fitted in March 2008. New front pads fitted April 2009 along with a drop link bush. I have all the MOT certificates for the car and the service book was up to date up until i bought it.
Had two new Michelin Energy tyres on the back in March (from Costco). Has Michaelin Energy on the front too but they'll need replacing in the next six months. Wheels are 15" standard fitment alloys.
Niggling faults: Fuel cap spring (i'll get round to it one day...), central locking solenoid in drivers side rear door, buttons gone missing off key fob, was still working up until six months ago but the batteries have gone now. AC doesn't get cold any more, but still dries the air sufficiently to clear the windscreen. Minor dents here and there from car parks. Needs a new boot carpet (left the old one out in the rain and ended up throwing it away). One of the clips that holds the black trim along the bottom of one of the windows has come off. Two of the rubber posts that the cover over the engine rests on have broken off, still have the cover and all four "top hats". The door lock on the drivers side gets a bit fiddly some mornings.
The drivers side window has stopped working - I bought a replacement switch panel yesterday and am waiting for it to be delivered, when it comes i'll update this post with if it's fixed it or if it's gonna need a new motor
Anyone interested for £650? - If you've got a couple of weekends to hunt round for the bits in scrappys and can change the belts yourself when they're due it should do someone alright. I'll get some pictures up by the weekend, i've none recent.
Car is fitted with a tow bar but i've never used it.

Thanks,
Paul
