Ye, a few to do jobs before the meet

Scrub her up a bit - am planning on starting sarvo, but been tidying the garden from all the rubbish I chucked out there whilst doing the bathroom
Just got grass to cut, then can start on the chariot
Fit carpet back under glovebox - just held off a few days to make sure blower is all now 100% (not that I doubted it would be  )
Finish wiring up trip computer
To job I haven't spoken about yet (whistles)

That as well as do oil and filter (in boot ready), fuel filter (on order), fit K&N, and do a droplink
1999 D8.5 HDi GLX - Sold :(

2007 Mondingo Zetec - I seek forgiveness :( Bring back my 406

closer to the truth than i like to admit

no the wife has been back in the uk for a few days so have been in sole charge of my 3 year old, it hasnt left much time for anything other than a cursory glance at the board now and again but she returned today i have just been and picked her up from the airport and promptly left her and the lad at her mothers and i am now back trying to catch up. The new posts soon pile up if you miss a few days

Anyway as Doggy has so rightly pointed out only 8 weeks to go, time i started looking into this remap, i cant have the dog mobile leaving me standing now can i

as for jobs to do, well, frankly other than trying to hide the cost of a remap away from the wife i have nothing to except:
confirm sailing date with ferry company
Book hotel in Berlin
Book hotel in Holland
Buy tickets for Efteling theme park
Con an old relative out of a nights bed and board in France
Confirm dates with friends in Suffolk
Book a week somewhere for me and the family near the coast somewhere in Northish UK
Arrange another weeks visiting around the North of friends and relatives
Buy refrigerated cool box a la Doggy style
Maybe another coat of polish on the C5 (but unlikely)

oh yeah and send off our group booking form( i feel a confirmation thread coming on )

See you all in 8 weeks, sorry 7 weeks and 6 days

Not wishing to clutter up the current 'confirmation thread', I've temporarily resuscitated this one.

I've noticed some other forums 'broadcast' events like this by e-mailing all the members.

Is this possible?

Do people think it would help?

I'm admin on a rc site, and admin can message all members on that, so i'd say so

Providing I come to this meet I will be bringing with me a fair wack of car cleaning equiptment, cloths, pads and probably some No rinse shampoo (will have to order some).

I'm going to be tidying up DiscoPols fluffy cloud with abit of luck, obviously permitting on certain circumstances. Theese being:-
  • Discopol gives his car a clean before hand, :P (this is because thick dirt will scratch the paint and I'm hoping to be able to wipe it over with a good soaking on a Quick Detailer)
  • It's Dry,
  • And me actually being there on the day.

My plan with DiscoPols car is to Polish it using a secret recipie I got. This polish has extreamly fine abrasives which break down gently and then fill in minor imperfections and leave a good base for a synthetic glaze and a sealent.
Ther than that the wheels will be given a wipe over, sealed and the tyres dressed aswell as all the black plastics.
The last Black car I used this setup on turned out like this...

I'm looking to spend around 2 hours on his car.

On the day I'l be avalible for advice and maybe some demonstrations.
I'l be bringing some scratch removal kit with me.
My rule of thumb is if you can feel it with your nail, there is nothing I can do. But even if you can, ask and I'l have a look :)
I can offer advice on recommended products for paint colours and paint tyres, paint maintence etc.

Think you've made a big mistake there Sam.

The list of confirmed attendees just rose to about 50 odd, but poor Sam won't get time to look in the museum now because he'll now be too busy doing the sponsored 406oc car wash...

+1 on that one. Especially seeing as the likes of Chips Away etc. charge a fortune & the stuff that Sam uses doesn't come cheap either. His car cleaning kit is probably worth more than most of our stereos...
