Sam, don't bother - if you change the oil because it looks black you'll wind up doing it every day......

6 days to go. 8)
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

It says a lovely, sexy transparent gold for about 1000miles, then it goes orange and then very quickly turns a dreadfull black

I'm expecting lots of pics you know :frown:

I'd have loved to be there but I couldn't see myself being able to spare the time and cash. As it turns out I've buggered up my back and haven't even been able to fit in the car for almost 3 weeks now :( Still, I did manage to scream a very rude word in the physiatrist's the other day  Silly moo, did she think I was pretending?

Feel for you buddy - they don't call em physioterrorists for nothing.

I'm hopeless with pictures, but I understand some of the younger gentlemen now have a form of camera obscura integrated into their telephonic apparatus......

Right then boys 'n' girls....

I've been in touch with the Heritage Museum regarding the question of a BBQ and the answer is a qualified yes. 8)

We have been allocated a parking area in front of the museum, close to cafe/picnic area/loos etc. We can't set up a BBQ here, (it's grass), but we are permitted to use an area of hard standing, in the campsite, about 3-400 yards away and we can drive to it.

The camp site will not be in use, so it's portable loos will be locked up, (meaning a trek back to the cafe/picnic area to pump bilges etc).

Not perfect, but it ticks most of the boxes, I think.

So, let's have some comments, please, on whether we want to do this, who wants to bring BBQ(s) and any other relevant kit.

I've told Disco to bring some decent weather, but so far he has refused to offer any gaurantees, much less host the party at the local Marriot / Hilton if it rains, so maybe he knows it's gonna be OK?

Let's pretend we're in for a scorcher and come prepared......

so far i have had rain almost constantly whilst driving but when we have stopped for a day out in Berlin and the last couple of days here in Holland its been lovely, between 23 and 26 and clear sunny skies so i am hopeful but bare in mind when im coming to the meet im coming from Manchester and its not exactly renowned for hot sunny climes o if its Manc weather i bring i apologize now if its sunny i will be taking all the credit :cheesy:

oh and the drive has been great but the car has been a nightmare :( stories of woe and expense to follow

see you all Saturday, cant wait and the BBQ is good work Doggy well done mate.
